I am a highly collaborative Designer with a speciality in complex problem solving and gap-bridging between people and new technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI). My design career has spanned multiple industries including government, commercial, and international development, as a Design Lead on complex problem-solving projects. The backbone of my approach is an adaptive problem-solving process, driven by experimentation and empathy.
Some of the design softwares I use currently are Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as After Effects and Cinema 4D and for 3D, AR/VR, and rich media content creation.
I'm also certified in Product Management by the Product School which helps to ground my "product-thinking" in the business and market ecosystem contexts. In the past, I founded an e-commerce business, and consulted for multiple startups at various stages of product development.
A huge passion of mine is community building, mentorship, and creative empowerment. I started a group called San Diego Designers (SDD) in 2019 to help connect our local industry with news, events, resources, and capacity building, especially for those just starting out a career. I'm also one of the founding Local Leader's of the San Diego Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF), which seeks to educate and connect local UX Designers.
